Another Jackson accuser
The week's news at a glance.
Santa Maria, Calif.
The 24-year-old son of Michael Jackson’s former housekeeper testified this week that Jackson touched his “little private region” as they watched cartoons together more than 15 years ago. “He was tickling me,” the man said, “and he reached up to my privates.” Jackson is on trial in a California court for allegedly molesting a cancer survivor, then 13, and prosecutors said the new testimony proves the singer was a serial predator. But in 1993, the witness told detectives that nothing inappropriate had happened, and Jackson’s attorney this week suggested that the man had changed his story for money. The man’s mother recently sold her story to the tabloid TV show Hard Copy for $20,000.
