President Jeb? Not yet

Florida Gov. Jeb Bush this week ruled out a run for the presidency in 2008. Bush, George W. Bush’s brother, said he would go home to Miami after his second term ends, in 2006, and only then would he ponder his next move. “I’m not going to run for president in 2008,” he said on ABC’s This Week. “That’s not my interest.” Bush has been a popular governor, and a third of his state’s GOP convention delegates said they favored him as their party’s next candidate. At 51, he’s young enough to make a run in 2012, to become the third Bush in the White House, but Bush said for now his job as governor was his only concern. “It’s the best job in the world,” he said. Term limits prevent Bush from seeking a third gubernatorial term.
