The daily gossip: Kylie Jenner is pregnant, Mike Richards made it 1 day as Jeopardy! host, and more
Today's top entertainment and celebrity news
1. Kylie Jenner is pregnant
The internet always knows! Kylie Jenner hasn't been publicly photographed since June because she's apparently been hiding that she is pregnant with her second baby with Travis Scott. The rumor was confirmed by "multiple sources" (a.k.a. Kylie's PR team) to various tabloids on Friday afternoon. Jenner hasn't made any secret about wanting to have more kids, even though she and Scott — who is the father of her 3-year-old daughter, Stormi — split back in October 2019. The couple, though, has been more public about their rekindled relationship in recent months (don't forget The Great "Wifey, I Love You" mystery of June 2021). Despite being a little unconventional, perhaps, it makes sense that 24-year-old Jenner is pregnant again since she ultimately wants to have "seven kids down the line."
2. Mike Richards quits as Jeopardy! host after 1 day on the job
Mike Richards, we hardly knew ye. The Ringer revealed earlier this week that the new Jeopardy! host has a history of making sexist and anti-Semitic comments. And since it's difficult to "imagine an easier job in the world than picking a new Jeopardy! host who does not require an Anti-Defamation League investigation," it was no surprise to anyone when Richards stepped down on Friday after one day on the job, officially making his tenure even shorter than Anthony Scaramucci's. Though the plan was for Jeopardy! to return in September with a permanent host, Richards said the show will now "be bringing back guest hosts" and Sony will "resume the search for a permanent syndicated host." Meanwhile, in totally unrelated news, LeVar Burton is having a great Friday morning.

3. Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern drag fans into their dramatic game of phone tag
You'd better pick up the phone if Reese Witherspoon calls you, because if you don't, she'll call you out. On Thursday, the actress posted a screenshot of herself trying unsuccessfully to reach Laura Dern on FaceTime. Dern responded on her own Instagram account by posting a video demanding to know "what!?" Witherspoon replied in the comments: "Answer the PHONE!!!!" A few hours later, though, Dern apparently still hadn't gotten back to Witherspoon, who took to Instagram to complain "do you ever have a friend who doesn't answer your phone calls but is clearly on her phone because it looks delivered? And also, you know she's on Instagram because she posted?" Good news, though: Dern shared a screenshot at the end of the night proving she'd finally returned Witherspoon's FaceTime call.
4. Will the new James Bond film ever come out?
Samuel Beckett's got nothing on the increasingly absurdist wait for No Time to Die, with rumors swirling that the film's release date could potentially be changed for the sixth time. Originally slated to come out April 10, 2020, the 25th James Bond installment was pushed back to Nov. 25, 2020, then up to Nov. 20, 2020, then back to April 2, 2021, and is now supposed to come out in the U.S. on Oct. 8, 2021. But with the Delta variant making future moviegoing uncertain, the film has already been postponed in Australia and New Zealand to Nov. 11. "Does new delay in Australasia signal no near-simultaneous worldwide release," wondered The James Bond Dossier, "or that the film is about to be delayed again globally?" According to The Hollywood Reporter, though, "MGM is adamant that other current dates are fixed, and that No Time to Die is otherwise a go."

5. Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum are definitely an item
Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum are now paparazzi official, which all experts know is the step that comes between being cryptic Deuxmoi blind item official and Instagram official. The pair were spotted doing what all celebrities do when they want to be written about by Page Six: going for "a stroll" together in the East Village where they "appeared to be enjoying each other's company as they shared a few laughs." Riveting stuff! What is of note, though, is that "Tatum appears to have received a Dimes Square–style makeover courtesy of Kravitz" according to The Cut, which further admired his "pair of high-top Converse," "faded graphic tee," "shaved head," and lack of Crocs. The pair reportedly met on the set of Kravitz's forthcoming directorial debut, Pussy Island, and will probably go for more strolls and share more laughs when it comes time to start promoting the film.
