1. Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson might be brothers
Woody Harrelson has said Matthew McConaughey is "like a brother to me," but it sounds like he may soon be able to drop the "like." The former True Detective co-stars are collaborating on a new series called Brother From Another Mother. On Kelly Ripa's Let's Talk Off Camera podcast, though, McConaughey suggested they might actually be real, biological brothers. "In Greece a few years ago, we're sitting around talking about how close we are and our families, and my mom is there," the actor said. "She says, 'Woody, I knew your dad.'" McConaughey "went on to unpack what 'knew' meant and did some math," leading to the discovery that Harrelson's dad was on furlough at the same time that McConaughey's parents were "in their second divorce." When Ripa asked if they've done any DNA testing to confirm whether they're related, McConaughey said that's "what we're on the precipice of now." Family is a flat circle.
2. Drake Bell 'safe' after police said he was missing and 'endangered'
Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell is said to be safe after he was briefly reported missing by police in Florida on Thursday. The Daytona Beach Police Department said in a statement on its Facebook page that officers were looking for the Drake & Josh star, who was "considered missing and endangered." They added that his last known location was "potentially the area of Mainland High School" on April 12 "just before" 9 p.m. and that he was traveling in a 2022 grey BMW. A few hours later, though, police said law enforcement officials are now "in contact" and Bell "is safe," but they didn't provide details about what happened. The incident came after Bell in 2021 was accused of sending inappropriate messages to an underage girl and pleaded guilty to attempted child endangerment. He received two years' probation.

3. Jamie Foxx hospitalized after a 'medical complication'
Well-wishes are in order for Jamie Foxx after he was hospitalized with an unspecified medical issue. A statement from the actor's family shared by his daughter, Corinne Foxx, said he "experienced a medical complication" on Tuesday but that he's "already on his way to recovery" thanks to "quick action and great care." The statement didn't provide details, but TMZ reported that Foxx's condition "was serious enough" that family members who weren't in town came to the hospital. "He's communicating now, and that's good news," a source told TMZ. The actor is expected to remain in the hospital at least for a few more days as doctors perform tests, TMZ also reported. Foxx has recently been filming a movie in Atlanta with Cameron Diaz. "We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers," the family said.
4. Mo'Nique sues CBS and Paramount for unpaid royalties
Mo'Nique took on Netflix, and she's going to war with CBS next. The comedian and actress has filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit against Paramount Pictures and CBS Studios, alleging they owe her money for The Parkers, according to The Associated Press. The lawsuit accuses the companies of artificially depressing the profitability of the sitcom to "retain millions that would otherwise be contractually due" to her and others. "While the Series has proven to be a major financial success for its producers and distributors, the series' talent have not been permitted to share in the fruits of that success," the lawsuit said, and the comedian said in a statement, "I just want the contractual compensation that I've earned." This comes after Mo'Nique previously sued Netflix, alleging the streamer made a "biased, discriminatory" offer to her for a comedy special. That case was settled in 2022, but it's safe to say that at this point, Mo'Nique lawsuits aren't especially unique.

5. Angela Bassett writes about 'softly' holding Austin Butler's hand at the Oscars
Angela Bassett did the thing, and by "thing," we mean pay tribute to her new BFF, Austin Butler. TIME has unveiled its list of the 100 most influential people of 2023, including Michael B. Jordan, Aubrey Plaza, Jennifer Coolidge, Lea Michele, Angela Bassett, and more stars. Also making the list was Elvis' Austin Butler, and the blurb about him was written by Bassett, who described how they "connected in a fleeting moment" during awards season. "Despite all that swirled around him, Austin opened his heart to new friends," the Black Panther star wrote. "I was fortunate to be one of them." Bassett also recalled that she "took his hand" at the Oscars "and held it softly" as Best Actor was announced, adding that though Butler lost to Brendan Fraser, he "is no less a winner." She may be the only person with any hope of getting through to Butler and helping him finally drop that dang Elvis voice. Don't let us down, Angela!
