McLaren has announced a new racing-inspired Track Pack for its 570S supercar, due to go on sale for an extra £16,500 over the base model.
The pack focuses on removing weight from the 570S and increasing the aerodynamics for better handling. Lighter alloy wheels, Alcantara in place of leather upholstery and carbon fibre buck seats help shed 55lbs from the standard 3,175lbs kerb weight.
Exterior tweaks include a larger rear wing, which can generate an extra 64lbs of downforce at 150mph, a Dark Palladium roof and stealth sports exhaust supplied by McLaren Special Operations.

There's also the track telemetry system from the 675LT and P1 supercars. This provides real-time information when powering around a circuit, recording lap times and offering the driver post-drive data analysis.
While the Track Pack retains the 562bhp 3.5-litre twin-turbo V8 engine of the base model, McLaren has managed to shave off one-tenth of a second from the zero to 124mph time, which is now achieved in 9.4 seconds.
The option brings the cost of the 570S to around £160,000. Orders are already underway and first deliveries are expected in early 2017.
