1. CAMERON: U-TURNS TOOK COURAGE
The Prime Minister has argued that it took "courage" for the Government to perform so many U-turns in the wake of the Budget. “No one thinks this Government lacks resolve, strength and grit,” he told the BBC. “It has all of those things and it also has the courage to say ‘Look, if we’ve got something wrong, let’s change it — let’s not keep ploughing into the brick wall’.”
2. PALACE CONCERT FOR JUBILEE
Buckingham Palace will host a star-studded concert this evening as the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations continue. Sir Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Sir Elton John, Madness, Robbie Williams and Ed Sheeran are among those on the bill. An estimated 1.25 million people lined the Thames yesterday to watch the Jubilee pageant.

3. POLL SHOWS SUPPORT FOR WIND FARMS
A new poll suggests that seven out of 10 Britons want more wind farms to be built - contradicting the well-publicised perception that they are bitterly opposed. George Osborne is planning to cut in subsidies for on-shore wind farms by up to 25% after high-profile campaigning from countryside campaigners and rural Conservative MPs.
4. NO SURVIVORS IN LAGOS PLANE CRASH
All the passengers on a Dana Air plane that crashed in the Nigerian city of Lagos have died, say officials. Around 150 people were on-board and it is feared that more have died on the ground. Thousands of people swarmed to the crash site in a densely populated district of the city. President Goodluck Jonathan has declared three days of mourning.
5. LEMBIT OPIK'S PAINFUL WRESTLING DEBUT
Eccentric former MP Lembit Opik suffered a bruising defeat in his first wrestling bout. The 47-year-old entered the ring to fight 18-stone opponent Kade Callous at the Welshpool Town Hall in Powys. The Liberal Democrat was stretchered out of the venue by paramedics and said later: “It was frankly very traumatic."
6. AYATOLLAH THREATENS ISRAEL 'LIGHTNING'
Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has vowed there would be a "lightning response" to any Israeli strike on the country's nuclear facilities and stated that the sanctions against Tehran "deepen hatred and animosity toward the west in the heart of our people." His words dashed hopes that the speech might strike a more conciliatory note than usual.
7. IS LUKA MAGNOTTA IN PARIS?
CCTV footage suggests that Luka Rocco Magnotta - the chief suspect in the murder of a Chinese student whose body was discovered to have been eaten, with parts of it sent to the Canadian Prime Minister - has fled to Paris. A Parisian says he spent two nights with Magnotta, only realising afterwards who his guest had been.
8. MARTIN CROWNED APPRENTICE WINNER
Ricky Martin has been named the winner of The Apprentice despite being branded an "arrogant fool" by one of Lord Sugar's advisers. The 27-year-old recruitment manager won a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar, who will now become his partner in a new business venture, a niche recruitment company specialising in the science industry.
9. BEATLES TOP JUBILEE SINGLES CHART
The Beatles are the biggest selling singles act under the Queen's 60-year reign. The Fab Four, who had 17 number ones in eight years, finished just ahead of Elvis Presley, Cliff Richard and Madonna in the top five. The Rolling Stones finished in a surprisingly lowly 13th place in the BBC Radio 2 Jubilee chart. Rihanna was the highest current act, finishing in 10th place.
10. KELLY, NOT RIO, REPLACES CAHILL
Chelsea centre-half Gary Cahill has been ruled out of Euro 2012 with a double fracture of his jaw. Liverpool defender Martin Kelly has been called-up to replace Cahill. Rio Ferdinand's agent has expressed surprise that his client was not selected. "This is a player with 81 caps for his country," said Jamie Moralee. "It's a lack of respect. I don't know anyone who understands it."
