1. SYRIAN CHEMICAL EVIDENCE EMERGES

Forensic evidence of the use of chemical weapons in Syria has emerged for the first time, reports The Times. Analysis of soil samples, smuggled out of the country in a secret British operation, has shown “some kind of chemical weapon” has been used. The White House warned las year that any use of chemical weapons in Syria would be a “red-line” issue.
