1. BBC 'ENDANGERED' LSE STUDENTS

The BBC has been accused of endangering students as it emerged that reporter John Sweeney posed as an LSE student to film undercover in North Korea. The LSE says the students whose trip Sweeney joined "were not given enough information to enable informed consent" and were "endangered". The BBC says students had been warned of the risks.

2. WORDSWORTH AT THATCHER FUNERAL

Baroness Thatcher's funeral service will feature Wordsworth's Intimations of Immortality and TS Eliot's Little Gidding. Her coffin will be carried into St Paul's Cathedral by military units closely associated with the Falklands campaign. Chelsea pensioners will line the steps of the cathedral. Hundreds took part in an anti-Thatcher protest at Trafalgar Square yesterday.

3. DEATH ROW GRAN READY FOR BULLETS

The British grandmother facing execution in Bali for drug smuggling says she is ready to face death by firing squad. “I would rather have the death sentence than a life sentence,” she tells the Mail On Sunday. “I don't want to get old and decrepit in here...at least a bullet is quick.” The 56-year-old was caught flying from Bali to Bangkok last year carrying 10.6lb of cocaine.

4. FEARS GROW OF MEASLES DEATH

Health officials fear that the south Wales measles epidemic could claim its first life as the number of cases is expected to double to 1,400. There is also concern that if the epidemic spreads elsewhere in the UK that many regions do not have vaccination levels high enough to provide 'herd immunity' and stop the infection spreading.

5. DROP ROW TIGER WOODS PLAYS ON

Tiger Woods has shrugged off calls for him to quit following his illegal drop at the Masters on Friday. Officials gave Woods a two-shot penalty for the drop on the 15th hole during the second round. Three-time Masters champion Nick Faldo led calls for Woods to quit the tournament. But Woods says: "I made a mistake, I took an improper drop and got the penalty.”

6. BRIGHTON MAY OPEN DRUG ROOMS

Brighton could become the first British city to open 'drug consumption rooms' where addicts can use heroin, crack and other drugs without risk of prosecution. The city has one of the UK's highest drug-related death rates and an estimated 2,000 addicts. Drug consumption rooms already exist in Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany and Spain.

7. MILLWALL FIGHTING OVERSHADOWS SEMI

Police made 10 arrests as Millwall fans marred yesterday's FA Cup semi-final by fighting among themselves at Wembley Stadium. Television images showed supporters covered in blood and terrified children. One Millwall fan was seen seemingly stealing a policeman's cap. The violence broke out towards the end of Millwall's 2-0 defeat by Wigan Athletic.

8. DRAMATIC JAIL BREAK IN FRANCE

One of France's most notorious criminals has staged a dramatic escape from prison. Redoine Faid, a convicted armed robber, set off a series of explosions and took four guards hostage as he broke out of Sequedin prison, outside Lille. Police say Faid is armed and still in possession of explosives. Faid said his life of crime was inspired by American films such as Scarface and Heat.

9. ALL SAFE AS PLANE CRASHES IN SEA

All 101 passengers and crew survived when a Boeing 737 crash landed in the sea after it over-shot a Bali runway. The plane snapped in half as it landed in shallow water. Some passengers swam from the wreckage while others were saved by rescuers in rubber boats. Although dozens were injured, most were released from hospital within hours.

10. RESURGENT GUNNERS GO THIRD

Arsenal moved up to third place in the Premier league after a 3-1 win over Norwich at Emirates Stadium. Today, Chelsea face Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final. Manchester United travel to Stoke where a win for the visitors would take them ever closer to officially winning the Premier League title. Newcastle host Sunderland in the midday kick-off.
