1. BLOODY SUNDAY TROOPS FACE ARREST

Police are to arrest and question up to 20 retired British soldiers over the Bloody Sunday shootings more than 40 years ago. The former troops, most in their sixties and seventies, will be questioned for murder, attempted murder or criminal injury. Some of the soldiers could face prosecution over their role in the incident in which troops opened fire on marchers, killing 14.
