Penguin arrives in New Zealand after epic journey

A penguin has reached the shores of New Zealand, at least 3,000 kilometres (1,864 miles) away from its natural habitat of Antarctica. The penguin, who has now been named Pingu by locals, was found looking lost on the coast. It is only the third recorded incident of such a penguin being found on New Zealand's coast. Pingu will eventually be released onto a safe beach on Banks Peninsula, which is free of dogs.

Brits believe aliens live among us

A survey has found that 64% of British people think alien life has visited Earth already. Around one-third of respondents said they believed aliens look “just like us” and the same proportion believed that aliens already live permanently on our planet. Britain’s first astronaut, Helen Sharman, said: “It’s possible they’re here right now and we simply can’t see them.”

Naked man stuck in NY theatre wall

Firefighters in New York have rescued a naked man who was stuck for several days inside the bathroom wall of a theatre. The fire department was called after employees heard someone banging of the wall and yelling for help. The adult male was believed to have entered the theatre two or three days ago. He was taken to hospital with dehydration.
