Audi ‘turd’ car prompts mirth in France

German carmarker Audi has sparked some unexpected reactions after unveiling its new line of all-electric vehicles. Observers in France have pointed out that the name Audi has chosen for the series – “e-tron” – is almost identical to the French word “etron,” which translates as “turd” or “excrement”.
Man jailed for raping a horse
A man in Oregon has been jailed for 20 months after it was discovered he had sexually assaulted a horse. Kenneth Duyck admitted to police he had entered the horse’s stable where DNA recovered from the animal proved to be a match to his own. The 20-year-old was arrested while asleep in a stolen car in a Walmart car park.

‘Ghost’ turns out to be man in closet
A North Carolina college student who believed a ghost was stealing her clothes has discovered the culprit was in fact an adult male concealed inside her wardrobe. Police arrested 30-year-old Andrew Swofford after the student found him in her closet, trying on her clothes. Swofford is facing 14 felony charges, including larceny and identity theft.
