Arsenal are among the clubs interested in the left-footer. The Gunners are joined in the race by Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and AC Milan.
Ardiles: Spurs should sell Eriksen
Tottenham Hotspur legend Ossie Ardiles believes it’s in the club’s best interest to sell Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen. Ardiles said: “It looks to me like he has put his mind on a move - that he wants to go somewhere else. And if that is the case it’s futile for the club to try and keep a player when he wants to leave. I won’t say he’s not happy with us, because he is, but his mind is trying to play somewhere else, and the best thing is to part company.” (talkSPORT)
United in clear for Maguire move
Manchester United are favourites to sign Harry Maguire after reports claimed that Manchester City are refusing to meet Leicester City’s asking price for the England defender. (90min)
Arnie on his way out
Marko Arnautovic is set to leave West Ham for Chinese side Shanghai SIPG. The Austrian has burnt his bridges and the Hammers are prepared to accept a “terrible deal” to get the striker out. (Sky Sports)
Hammers eye Rondon and Gomez
With Marko Arnautovic on his way out West Ham will be in the market for a new striker. The Daily Star says the Hammers are keen on West Brom’s Salomon Rondon while Inside Futbol reports that they are trying to “hijack” Valencia’s swoop for Celta Vigo’s Maxi Gomez.
Saul to replace Pogba?
Manchester United have identified Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba. French World Cup winner Pogba is being linked with moves to Real Madrid and Juventus. (Daily Express)
Inter stall on Lukaku
Inter Milan are “stalling” on their move for Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku. The Italian club are struggling to meet United’s £75m asking price for the Belgian. (The Sun)
Milan still keen on Lovren
AC Milan continue to be linked with a move for Liverpool centre-half Dejan Lovren. The Serie A side are in the market for a new defender but Liverpool are not desperate to sell the Croatian. (Daily Mirror)
Buffon turned down Prem offers
Agent Silvano Martina has revealed that Gianluigi Buffon turned down a number of offers from Premier League clubs in order to return to Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain. Martina said: “He had many offers, especially from the Premier League and from other large teams. I don’t name names, it’s not in my style but I think you won’t have problems understanding. Buffon has always made choices with his heart and never for his wallet. You can compare his return home to that of a husband who after an escapade can’t wait to hug his wife again.” (Daily Mail)
