It’s reported that Liverpool are trying to convince Buffon to move to Anfield. There is also interest from Premier League champions Manchester City. (The Sun)
Willian: Chelsea to Manchester United
It’s no secret that Jose Mourinho is a huge fan of Chelsea midfielder Willian so it comes as no surprise that Manchester United are keen to sign the Brazilian. Mourinho signed Willian in 2013 when he was manager of Chelsea and now wants a reunion at Old Trafford. It’s reported that United have held “informal talks” with the player’s agent. (Manchester Evening News)
Toby Alderweireld: Tottenham to Manchester United
Another player high on the Manchester United shopping list is Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld. United have consistently been linked with a move for the Belgian. Spurs are “resigned” to losing the 29-year-old. (ESPN)

There’s more Old Trafford transfer news and this time it’s about another defender. United are reportedly keen on Atletico Madrid’s Sime Vrsaljko and could make a £30m bid for the Croatian. (Daily Mail)

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is “plotting his exit” from the German champions amid interest from Real Madrid and Chelsea. The Polish striker has met up with agent Pini Zahavi to “consider his future”. (The Sun)
Rooney to stay at Everton?
It looked certain that Wayne Rooney would leave Everton for Major League Soccer side DC United, but after Sam Allardyce’s sacking yesterday the former England star could yet stay at Goodison Park. Rooney has “put the switch on hold” while he waits to speak to Everton’s next boss about the club’s plans. (The Sun)
Emre Can: Liverpool to Juventus
Out-of-contract Liverpool midfielder Emre Can looks set to move to Italian giants Juventus. It’s reported that the German star, who is 24, is “on the verge” of signing a five-year contract with the Turin club. (The Sun)
Tierney could be at Celtic ‘for life’
Scotland star Kieran Tierney says he’s “flattered” by reports linking him with a move to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, but the 20-year-old left-back says he could remain with Celtic for the rest of his career. “I’ve never thought about elsewhere yet, in my life”, he said. “It’s just been Celtic since the age of seven. Can I see myself being here all my career? Yes, I can. But, you never know in football.” Tierney has also been linked with Manchester United, Tottenham and Bournemouth. (Daily Herald)
No offers for keeper Hart
He missed out on the England World Cup squad and now goalkeeper Joe Hart could face more heartache this summer. After finishing his loan at West Ham, the 31-year-old is unwanted by Manchester City. It’s claimed no Premier League team wants to sign him. (The Sun)
