White House: Obama would veto Keystone pipeline

President Obama would veto a pending bill to approve the Keystone XL pipeline should it pass Congress, White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Tuesday. That said, Earnest only addressed the pending bill as it currently stands, and not whether Obama could agree to a tweaked version with Democratic compromises.

Republicans vowed to address Keystone out of the gate this session, and the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee scheduled its first hearing on the bill for Tuesday.
