Chris Hayes on illegal CIA torture: 'Michael Vick did more time for what he did to dogs'

MSNBC host Chris Hayes sounded a grim note on his show this week following the release of the Senate's scathing report on the CIA's Bush-era torture program. Citing 18 US Code § 2340A, which categorically outlaws torture, and the further near-certainty that nobody will be prosecuted for doing it, he drew the obvious conclusion that America's self-image as a nation of laws is being horribly tarnished.
