While Republicans successfully regained control of the Senate last month by picking up eight seats in the midterm elections, Louisiana's election won't be decided until this Saturday's runoff.
It's becoming increasingly likely that Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu will lose her fight for re-election to Republican challenger Rep. Bill Cassidy. Polls show Cassidy ahead of Landrieu by double digits: The Real Clear Politics average has him ahead by 17.6 points.
Landrieu recently attacked the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee for pulling her ads from the airwaves just days after she failed to capture 50 percent of the vote on Election Day, saying her party "walked away" from her campaign.
