Massive post office cyber attack hits 800,000 employees
Hackers infiltrated the U.S. Postal Service's computer network and may have made off with the personal information of some 800,000 employees, the USPS said Monday.
The attack was first discovered in September, and may have been carried out by Beijing hackers, according to The Washington Post. The attack may have also hit customers who corresponded with the post office by mail or phone between January and mid-August this year, though the USPS said in a statement it had no evidence compromised information "has been used to engage in any malicious activity."
