Krispy Kreme is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Ghostbusters with special-edition doughnuts
Krispy Kreme is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Ghostbusters in the most perfect way: It's rolling out two limited-edition doughnuts inspired by the franchise.
The first, appropriately dubbed the "Ghostbusters Doughnut," features a marshmallow creme filling and a green slime "splat," topped with the Ghostbusters logo in the form of a sugar piece. The second option, the "Stay Puft Marshmallow Doughnut," also features a marshmallow creme filling and is topped with a frosting Stay Puft marshmallow face.
"We are truly excited to collaborate with Sony Pictures in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the iconic Ghostbusters brand," Dwayne Chambers, Krispy Kreme's chief marketing and innovations officer, said in a statement. "And we are delighted to bring our fans two delicious, limited-edition treats that are as unique, creative, and joyful as this beloved film franchise."

The doughnuts hit Krispy Kreme stores in the U.S. and Canada on Sept. 29 to coincide with the Blu-Ray release of the 30th-anniversary edition of the film. But if you're really eager to get in the Ghostbusters spirit, you can preorder them starting Tuesday — as long as you're ordering five dozen or more. --Meghan DeMaria
