Hillary Clinton finally speaks on Ferguson: 'We can do better'

Almost three weeks after a police officer shot and killed Michael Brown, an unarmed black 18-year-old, in Ferguson, Missouri, former secretary of state Hillary Clinton weighed in on the controversy, saying, "We can do better."
"We can't ignore the inequities that persist in our justice system that undermine our most deeply held values of fairness and equality," she said.
Clinton had for weeks remained noticeably quiet about the unrest in Ferguson as other prominent politicians spoke out, even ignoring reporters' questions about the issue at a recent book signing.
