More than 80 concertgoers treated for dehydration, overdoses during Avicii concert in Boston

More than 80 people were treated for a host of issues Wednesday night during a concert by electronic artist Avicii at Boston's TD Garden.
Paramedics treated and transported patients to local hospitals due to dehydration and alcohol and drug overdoses, NBC affiliate WHCH reports. Responders first started attending to people shortly after the concert began at 8 p.m.; by the end of the show a staging area had been set up on Causeway Street.
Many of the patients were minors, and more than 50 people were treated or evaluated on scene while 36 were taken to the hospital, The Boston Globe reports. One attendee, Roisin Saratonion, told The Globe that it was "too crazy" inside the venue, and "it was claustrophobic." Another concertgoer, Mike Santostefano, said it had been difficult to breathe, but "was the best and worst time ever."
