Soccer star Hope Solo arrested for allegedly assaulting relatives
Hope Solo, the star goalkeeper for the United States women's national team, is in jail following an altercation at her home on Friday night, the Seattle Times reports.
Police say the soccer star, 32, got into an argument with relatives while at a party she and her husband, former NFL player Jerramy Stevens, were hosting. At some point, the fight turned physical and Solo reportedly assaulted her sister and her nephew.
"It was an out-of-control situation," Mike Murray, a Kirkland police office, said. "There were visible injuries on (her relatives)."

The goalie has helped two Olympic women's teams win gold, and she has appeared on the reality television series Dancing with the Stars. This is not Solo's first altercation; in 2012, police reportedly used a stun gun to break up a fight between Solo and then-boyfriend Stevens. Hours later, the couple married.
Solo is being held without bail.
