Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels were on The Tonight Show on Tuesday night to promote their new film, Dumb and Dumber To. Instead of the normal roll-clip-and-let's-talk routine, Jimmy Fallon and the duo created an elaborate backstory about a fictional Canadian soap opera (complete with opening credits) they worked on in the 1990s. Things only got stranger when the three of them acted out a clip from Jacob's Patient, gamely adhering to the odd contractual tick that nobody could use their real arms. Leno would never have gone for this. --Peter Weber
