Carl Froch decided that proposing to his girlfriend (model Rachael Cordingley) would work just fine. Froch dealt George Groves a fight-ending hit in the eighth round at Wembley Stadium, in London. Having won the fight and thus retained his IBF and WBA super middleweight belts, Froch turned his attention to Cordingley, who ran into the ring to congratulate him.
"I did ask Rachael a sneaky question after the fight," Froch told the Daily Mail. "She said, 'Yes.'"

Froch did not actually have a ring to present to Cordingley, suggesting that endorphins were probably more at work than, say, a plan. Nevertheless, the two kissed, and a crowd of 80,000 cheered them on.
