Team Chris Christie: Mitt Romney 2016 rollout 'desperate,' 'poorly handled'
Mitt Romney's abrupt decision to throw himself into the 2016 fray has scrambled the nascent Republican primary contest. Other possible contenders, such as New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, may have safely assumed they had seen the last of Romney. And Christie's team, in particular, isn't too impressed with the way Romney has rushed to reassert himself, according to The New York Times:
Mr. Christie's supporters also view Mr. Romney's entry into the race as poorly handled, even desperate, encouraged by his wife, Ann, and by advisers who made millions of dollars off Mr. Romney's last campaign. [The New York Times]
Christie reportedly is content to take his time about making a decision. But with Romney, Jeb Bush, and Mike Huckabee sucking all the media oxygen, his supporters apparently felt the need to at least throw a punch.
