New bill would crack down on federal employees watching porn at work

While one would think that federal employees would be strictly forbidden from looking at inappropriate websites on the job, it still happens. Last year, an EPA employee downloaded 7,000 files containing pornography and spent 2-6 hours a day watching them on the job.
Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) thinks such behavior is "appalling," and has introduced the Eliminating Pornography from Agencies Act in an attempt to put an end to it. "There is absolutely no excuse for federal employees to be viewing and downloading pornographic materials on the taxpayers' dime," Meadows said.
Meadows said his bill, which is similar to a failed one he introduced last year, would help curb waste of taxpayer dollars and also safeguard government networks from computer viruses.
