Ohio students given guidelines on talking to cops

Middle and high-school students in Akron, Ohio, have been given two-sided cards titled "You and the Law."
The cards include suggestions on how youth should interact with police. They start with the most obvious tip, "Stay out of trouble," and from there, provide 15 points about controlling emotions and keeping your hands in plain sight.
The cards are a collaboration between the Akron PeaceMakers, an anti-violence youth group, and the Akron Police Department. In addition to the safety tips, the card provides phone numbers to report police misconduct.
