Thaddeus Murphy, 44, has been arrested in connection with the bombing that occurred near an NAACP office last month. Murphy was charged with arson of a building and being a felon in possession of a firearm, The Associated Press reports.
Murphy was taken into custody on Thursday, and court records filed Friday claim Murphy admitted he made a pipe bomb. Murphy apparently told investigators he was targeting an accountant who worked in a tax-filing business that was in the same building as the NAACP office.
Previously, the FBI believed the incident may have been an act of terrorism. No one was harmed in the explosion.
