With some help from two employees at her local Home Depot, one woman has found a way for her dog to continue to go on the walks he loves so much, despite bone cancer.

Ike is almost 16 years old, and his vet expects he will only make it another two to six months. His owner, Risa Feldman, wants to make sure they are filled with as much joy as possible. Since she rescued him 12 years ago, Feldman has always taken Ike for walks in Manhattan Beach, California, a place he loves. "He's so happy to watch everybody," Feldman told ABC News. "It's his favorite thing to do. He'll lay there in the sun."

Because the cancer is in his back leg, it's painful for him to walk. Feldman tried a harness but it was too difficult for Ike to use, and he gets tired in his small wheelchair. She went to Home Depot to ask about a custom wagon, and two employees, Ernesto Moran and Justin Wadman, came up with the design and put it together for free. Feldman was so touched by what Moran and Wadman did for Ike that she went to the media to share her gratitude. "I just wanted people to know that there are still people out there who do good things, really," she said.
