Texas legislator hangs 'former fetus' sign outside office
Texas State Rep. Jonathan Stickland (R) hung a sign reading "former fetus" outside his office on Wednesday. The sign marked Stickland's opposition to Planned Parenthood's lobbying of Texas to continue giving the organization cancer screening grants.
The sign was from the anti-abortion group Texas Right to Life. It wasn't on display for long, though — Rep. Charlie Geren (R) apparently took the sign down, because "signs are not allowed to be posted in the walls of the building."
"Today, Planned Parenthood is visiting and lobbying the Capitol," Stickland wrote in a Facebook post. "In honor of their visit, I put this sign up on my office door. Organizations that murder children are not welcome in my office."

The Texas Tribune reports that more than 100 supporters of Planned Parenthood attended a rally at the Texas Capitol on Wednesday. The protesters encouraged the state to continue funding cervical and breast cancer screening programs for low-income women at Planned Parenthood and other independent women's health clinics.
