Rand Paul's presidential campaign will accept Bitcoin donations
Don't have checks or credit cards, but want to donate to Rand Paul's recently announced presidential campaign?
Supporters of Paul for president can donate to the cause online by using Bitcoin, an online cryptocurrency. The Hill reports that this isn't the first time a candidate has opted for the Bitcoin option, as several 2014 Congressional candidates accepted donations the virtual way.
Though critics are wary that the virtual nature of the currency makes it susceptible to criminals, Paul has expressed a liking for the principle of the idea, provided it is backed by something of value.
