Seth Meyers takes a close, skeptical look at Clinton Cash

"To put it in Game of Thrones terms, Republicans are treating this book like summer is coming," Seth Meyers said on Thursday's Late Night, in his "closer look" at Clinton Cash, the new anti-Clinton book from Peter Schweizer. Meyers isn't convinced about the merits of the book, since Schweizer is a partisan Republican whose other books attack liberals, and since even the author admits there are no proven connections between Clinton Foundation donations and Hillary Clinton's decisions as secretary of state. He's also not convinced there's nothing shady going on.
Meyers is willing to let the fact-checkers determine the merits of the book's claims, but he also doesn't begrudge Schweizer his subject matter. "There are only three kinds of books that still sell," he said: "Books about wizards, books about bondage, and books about the Clintons." Can you guess the subject of Meyers' next (first?) book? Either way, Hillary Clinton should probably be fine, he concludes. Probably. Watch: —Peter Weber
