If Floyd Mayweather defeats Manny Pacquiao during their fight in Las Vegas this Saturday, no one will be cheering louder than former rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight.
Knight's attorney, Matthew Fletcher, said if Mayweather is victorious, he will likely cover Knight's $10 million bail. "They're good friends," he told the Los Angeles Times. "That's one of his wealthiest friends." On Thursday, Knight pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted murder for allegedly running into two men while in his truck earlier this year in Compton, California. Fletcher says it was an act of self-defense after one of the men attacked Knight.
Fletcher said a lawyer for Mayweather reached out to him several weeks ago to ask about how to get Knight bailed out, and when he told his client about the conversation, he was thrilled. "Suge said, 'Man, I was really going to pull for him to win, but now I'm going to have to pray for him to win.'"
