Four years and several spats ago, Bill Simmons — along with a bevy of other ESPN personalities — opened up about life at the company in Those Guys Have All the Fun: Inside the World of ESPN.

Deadspin rounded up some of Simmons' more memorable comments in the book, but one passage is especially prescient in light of today's news that the longtime sports columnist and Grantland editor is leaving the company:

I need to not deal with Bristol as much. Nothing against Bristol, but I do worry that it becomes a little cultish after a while. ... At the cafeteria, there's Mike and Mike getting a sandwich and there's Matthew Berry and, hey, there's Mark Schlereth. ... I am not afraid to leave. If it happens, I will kill myself trying to haunt them somewhere else.

Read more highlights from Simmons' section over at Deadspin, and those of you in Bristol: Better brace yourselves for a haunting.
