Watch a senator's sad attempt at taking a selfie with a live pig
Next time someone tells you they're not interested in politics, show them this video.
On Wednesday morning, Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) attempted to take a selfie with a potbellied pig after a press conference on government spending. The conference highlighted Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW)'s annual "Congressional Pig Book," which details wasteful federal spending.
Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.), Pat Toomey (R-Pa.), and Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) also attended the event, which also featured a human in a pig costume to illustrate CAGW's efforts to "keep pork spending out of Washington," The Washington Post reports. The group criticized the government's $21 million in spending on a National Exercise Program and $5 million in spending on abstinence education.

After the event was when the real fun began, though — the Post managed to record Flake crawling across the floor to get a shot of himself with the pig, which really didn't want to be photographed. Pay special attention at the eight-second mark, when a stealthy photographer ducks under the pig's leash. —Meghan DeMaria
