A Gallup poll released earlier this year found that Americans view Russia as the single most threatening country for our national security — and now it seems Russia is returning the favor. A new survey found that 59 percent of Russians feel threatened by the United States, a 12 point increase in the last eight years.

Perhaps even more striking is the fact that 31 percent are worried about the possibility of an American invasion and occupation of Russia itself. Meanwhile, more than a third of Russians are concerned about U.S. economic and/or cultural hegemony over their country.
