Taxi drivers shut down transportation in Paris during riotous anti-Uber protests

Kanye West and Courtney Love were not the only two people inconvenienced by massive anti-Uber protests in Paris. French cabbies responded to the U.S. ride-share company's expansion in Paris by blocking access to the Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports, as well as a number of train stations, presumably delaying thousands. Protesters additionally burned tires and overturned cars; police in riot gear responded with tear gas.
Courtney Love, who is apparently in Paris with Kanye West, reported from the front lines:
In response to the protests, Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve has since implemented a ban on UberPop in Paris.
