Sorry, Trump: New poll shows U.S. support for immigration is actually on the rise

While much recent news coverage surrounding immigration policy has centered on Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's controversial thoughts on the subject, a new Gallup poll released this morning suggests America isn't exactly persuaded by The Donald. In fact, while voters remain significantly divided on whether we have too many immigrants coming into the U.S., the last 15 years have seen a slow but steady rise in support for increased immigration:

Over the same period of time, the belief that immigration is generally a good thing for the United States has also increased, with three out of four adults now assessing it positively.
