Baltimore Circuit Court Judge Barry Williams ruled today that the trials of the six police officers indicted on charges in connection with the death of Freddie Gray will proceed in Baltimore.

The officers' defense attorneys had argued local jurors could be prejudiced against their clients thanks to protests and media coverage surrounding Gray's death. Prior to today's decision, protesters gathered outside the court, chanting, "Keep the trial here!"
