Earthquake in Kabul, Afghanistan, Monday, Oct. 26, 2015

A 7.5-magnitude earthquake hit northern Afghanistan on Monday, with tremors felt in cities across the country, and in Pakistan and India. The full extent of the damage was not immediately known, but the powerful quake reportedly caused buildings to collapse. At least 94 people were reported dead and nearly 600 were reported wounded in Pakistan, and at least 33 people were reported dead and 200 were wounded in Afghanistan.

People from Kabul to Islamabad described the quake as the most violent they had ever felt. "I thought it was the end of everything," said one restaurant worker in Islamabad.
