Biden says Trump is 'smart enough to know half of what he's saying makes no sense'

Vice President Joe Biden questioned Donald Trump's sincerity during an interview Tuesday, saying a lot of what he's proposing — including building a giant wall along the border with Mexico and barring Muslims from entering the U.S. — is "showmanship."
"I believe he's smart enough to know half of what he's saying makes no sense," Biden told Bloomberg. He said he's not sure what Trump's motives are, "but I know what he's preaching is a very, very dangerous brew for America. Is this just a guy doing Celebrity Apprentice for himself? Is this just a guy who's an entertainer? It may have started there, but I now think, now, he wants to be president. But I don't think there's much chance of that."
Trump, Biden said, is drawing on the fears of people who are "really frightened and scared," but the vice president doesn't think the support is "sustainable." If Trump does become the Republican presidential nominee up against Hillary Clinton, Biden predicts a Democratic victory where Clinton "wins in a walk."
