Ben Carson is really hoping tonight's debate moderators ask some foreign policy questions
Ben Carson practically begs for questions about foreign affairs and national defense in a video his campaign posted ahead of Tuesday night's Republican debate in Las Vegas. "I sure hope we're getting a lot of questions about foreign affairs and national defense," Carson says. "If so, slam dunk."
The comment seems like a pointed retort to recent rumors of Carson's weak foreign policy knowledge. Just last month, the retired neurosurgeon got slammed by his own campaign adviser on his dearth of knowledge on foreign policy matters. "Nobody has been able to sit down with him and have him get one iota of intelligent information about the Middle East," Carson adviser Duane Clarridge told The New York Times.
