Watch this live television broadcast get interrupted by a bank robbery

Let this serve as a lesson to all would-be bank robbers — if at first you do succeed, don't try, try again.

Police in Rochester, Minnesota, say the suspect in a robbery Monday at Sterling State Bank returned again on Tuesday to hit it again. This time, Adam Sallet of KIMT-TV was broadcasting a live report from the scene. As Sallet started to explain what happened on Monday, a bank employee came running up, announcing that a man fleeing the scene "was the robber, that's him right there." A surprised Sallet announced "This is live TV, folks," then said he had to go call 911.

Rochester police Capt. John Sherwin told the Rochester Post Bulletin that a suspect had already been identified before Tuesday's robbery, but after the second heist, witnesses were "able to provide a vehicle description, which already matched the vehicle we were looking for, so we knew right away that this was very likely the same guy that hit [the bank Monday]." Police arrested 36-year-old Ryan Russell Liskow, a man on federal probation for a bank robbery committed in Minneapolis in 2009, 45 minutes later. Sherwin said Liskow was able to take several thousand dollars from the bank over the two days, and both times showed a note saying he was armed and wanted money. "When he walked in yesterday, the tellers immediately recognized him," Sherwin said. "And he said something to the effect of, 'Hello, it's me again.'" Catherine Garcia
