Barack and Michelle Obama mourn Nancy Reagan

President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama released a statement Sunday mourning former First Lady Nancy Reagan. Earlier, Reagan's spokeswoman confirmed Reagan had died at age 94.

"Nancy Reagan once wrote that nothing could prepare you for living in the White House," the statement read. "She was right, of course. But we had a head start, because we were fortunate to benefit from her proud example, and her warm and generous advice."

Former Presidents Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush and a host of other political figures also released statements Sunday mourning Reagan. Read the Obamas' full statement below. Julie Kliegman
