The year 2015 was one of Congress' most partisan years in decades, and the most partisan senator of all was Bernie Sanders, according to a report released Monday from the Lugar Center and Georgetown University.

The report's index measures how often each senator sponsors or co-sponsors bills with his or her colleagues across the aisle. Although Sanders is an independent senator, the report classified him as a Democrat, since he caucuses with the party. Sanders ranked 98 of 98 senators (each party's leader was not included), which means he didn't often put his name on legislation in collaboration with his Republican counterparts.
