Marco Rubio reportedly not at all interested in running on a unity ticket with Ted Cruz

Ted Cruz's campaign would love to get Marco Rubio on a unity ticket, but his former rival doesn't share the enthusiasm, multiple sources told Politico.
Wanting to block Donald Trump from the nomination, Cruz is looking at all of his options, the sources say, and one senator willing to work as a middleman between the Cruz and Rubio camps is Mike Lee (R-Utah). He tried to get a meeting with Rubio before the Florida primary, which Rubio lost to Trump, but was rebuffed, Politico reports. Undeterred, Cruz's team spent the last week conducting polls in upcoming primary states to see how he would do running with Rubio, the sources said. If nothing else, Cruz's campaign would like a Rubio endorsement, and those close to Rubio say he's open to it, particularly if he thinks Cruz has a shot at beating Trump.
On Fox News Monday night, Cruz said he hasn't talked about a unity ticket with Rubio, but isn't ruling it out. "I think any Republican would naturally have Marco on their short list and you would look seriously to him as a vice presidential choice," he said.
