John Kasich says he hasn't changed much since entering politics, and is "as big a reformer and idealist as I was the day I got elected."

Kasich was asked during the CNN Republican Town Hall on Tuesday how he deals with opposition, and he said "we can change the world and make the world better for everyone, and sometimes you get people upset. That goes with the territory." It's important to "have people around who tell you when you get on the wrong path," he explained, and he never wants to "look back and say I played politics, I took care of my party, and I didn't serve the people." Kasich also shared a tidbit from Harry Truman: "You want a friend and you're in Washington, you better get a dog."
