Campaign manager Corey Lewandowski is reportedly fueling infighting in the Trump camp
There is certainly trouble in Trump paradise, and not just because of Ted Cruz's major win in Wisconsin Tuesday. Even beyond the narrower and narrower road to the 1,237 delegates needed to secure his nomination, Trump's campaign staffers are reportedly feeling heightened tension — among themselves.
"The campaign has outgrown the team," someone with knowledge of the situation told Politico. "Hopefully this wakes up the candidate, because [campaign manager Corey] Lewandowski can't handle it from here."
In what is reported to be a power struggle, the embroiled campaign manager Lewandowski has even lashed out at another campaign operative, Paul Manafort, who was hired last month to help the campaign round up their delegates, Politico reports:

"Corey [Lewandowski] and his people know the knives are out for them," said one source close to the campaign, referring to Manafort as a "pretty experienced in-fighter."On Saturday, Lewandowski went as far as to fire a young operative named James Baker, who'd been recently put in charge of its Colorado campaign — he'd arrived in the state less than 48 hours earlier — because he'd been communicating with Manafort after Lewandowski instructed him not to do so, two sources with direct knowledge of the situation confirmed.Manafort is scheduled to meet with Trump in New York Wednesday morning and likely to threaten to quit if he doesn't see more cooperation, according to one source. "If Manafort walks, this thing comes apart," they said. "And some of the people close to him are ready to walk." [Politico]
Unsurprisingly, the Trump campaign has denied claims that anything is less than perfect in their camp. Read the whole scoop at Politico.
