It's been a long week for Donald Trump in his quest for the White House — just days after he asked about the welfare of a dead man, he referred to the 9/11 terrorist attacks as "7/11," the convenience store of choice for fans of the Slurpee.
Trump made the flub during a rally in Buffalo, New York, on Monday, the eve of the New York Republican primary. "I was down there, and I watched our police and our fireman, down on 7/11, down at the World Trade Center right after it came down," he said. "And I saw the greatest people I've ever seen in action. I saw the bravest people I've ever seen, including the construction workers, including every single person down there. That's what New York values are all about."
Trump didn't catch his mistake or correct it, but did vow that if he becomes president, "New York will come back so fast you won't even believe it, you watch." Catherine Garcia
