Kit Harington apologizes for 'lying to everyone' after major Game of Thrones reveal

Actor Kit Harington thanked his fans Sunday for caring about his beloved Game of Thrones character, Jon Snow. (Consider this your obligatory "stop reading if you don't want to know what happens" warning!) Snow was killed off by the Night Watch last season, and Harington said he was grateful his fans missed him. "It seems like people had a, similar to the 'Red Wedding' episode, kind of grief about it. Which means something I'm doing — or the show is doing — is right," he told Entertainment Weekly.
After 10 months of painful waiting and speculating, it was revealed to fans in Sunday night's episode "Home" that Snow is actually not dead, having been resurrected by the sorceress Melisandre. However, in order to not spoil the plot twist, Harington was required by the show's producers to pretend in real life that he had left Game of Thrones.
"I'd like to say sorry for lying to everyone," Harington said. "I'm glad that people were upset that [Jon Snow] died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care." Jeva Lange
