These posters are going to make you want to catch the first spaceship to Mars

NASA has released posters promoting the first manned mission to Mars.

Everybody wants to go to Mars, even if it means they probably won't come back. But even if the journey means an ending not quite as fortunate as that of The Martian, there is still a lot of excitement about the possibility of sending manned missions to the red planet as early as 2026.

Although it's only for fun (at least for now), NASA has published a set of posters "promoting" missions to Mars, all set in the style of vintage recruitment and travel posters. Originally commissioned for an exhibit at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor's Complex in 2009, you can download them all here. Jeva Lange
